The Common Offense is my 2d attempt at blogging. I used to write The Bushwick Papers (R.I.P.) from 2003 to 2005. Frankly, following the election loss of 2004, I became disenchanted and decided to shutter TBP. I had also become extremely busy at work (at the time I was a lawyer for a large New York City law firm) and was planning my wedding with my (now) wife.
I now work for the Federal Judiciary (although it’s a temporary post) so I have a bit more free time. Moreover, my wounds have been salved and I think the time is right to “let freedom reign” and express myself once again to the blogosphere.
The Common Offense will be my personal outreach (outrage?) about all manner of issues but particularly focused on politics (both national and local), foreign affairs and national defense (I have a Masters in International Affairs and used to work for a member of the House Armed Services Committee), and Urban Life (my wife, who I’ll herein call “E”, and I live in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, N.Y.C. ).
